(and I loved being in shows) From that show on I was hooked.Ĭurrently, I am most curious about the intersections between movement direction, dance, and dramaturgy on teams in all types of work.
The second discovery happened when I had my first opportunity to choreograph a full show at Columbia University, that process taught me that I loved choreographing the movement arc more than I’d ever loved being in a show. This led me to ask different questions and find ways of incorporating dance outside of the standard track. My creative life came about with two distinct discoveries, the first was when I realized I didn’t want the dance jobs I was auditioning for, yet I desired to have dance in my life all the time.
I am both the kind of person who wants everyone up dancing and clapping whenever there is music and an iota of space, and the person who wants to go deep in analyzing movement in movies, shows, and conversations.
